Privacy Policy
Effective July 16, 2026
The short version: DiffusionDB does not collect, transmit, or sell your data. Everything you import stays on your own Mac. There is no account, no tracking, and no analytics.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the DiffusionDB macOS application ("the app") and this support website. DiffusionDB is developed and operated by John Saunders ("I", "me", or "the developer").
Data the app stores on your device
DiffusionDB is a local-first organizer. The images and videos you import, along with their extracted metadata (prompts, seeds, samplers, LoRA configurations, and similar generation details), are stored only on your Mac — inside the app's Application Support folder and its local database. This content never leaves your device and is never sent to me or to any third party.
Data the app does not collect
- No personal information, account, sign-in, or profile.
- No analytics, telemetry, usage tracking, or advertising identifiers.
- No location data.
- No content, prompts, or files transmitted off your device.
Purchases
DiffusionDB offers a one-time purchase to remove the free-tier save limit. All purchases and restores are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. I never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
To manage the upgrade reminder consistently across your devices and reinstalls, the app stores a small first-launch date in your own iCloud key-value storage. This value stays within your personal Apple account and is not shared with me.
If you contact support
If you email me for support, I receive whatever you choose to include in that message — your email address, your description of the issue, and any screenshots or attachments you send. I use this only to respond to and resolve your request, and I don't share it with anyone else.
Apple's role
Because DiffusionDB is distributed through the App Store, Apple may collect information such as download and purchase statistics and, if you opt in, crash and usage diagnostics. That data is provided to me only in aggregate and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
DiffusionDB is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
